The Royal Mint, which is widely recognized as the home of precious metals, has unveiled a gold bullion bar featuring the Kaaba, the holiest site for millions of Muslims worldwide. To create the bar, The Royal Mint collaborated with the Muslim Council of Wales and worked with Emma Noble to finalize the design. Abdul-Azim Ahmed from the Muslim Council of Wales expressed his pleasure at working with The Royal Mint on this special gold bullion bar. The Kaaba is a significant site in Islam, and the launch of this gold bullion bar is expected to make a significant impact.
To celebrate the launch of the bar, The Royal Mint gifted three Kaaba bars to the global charity, Islamic Relief. The charity is expected to use the funds raised from these bars to aid its fundraising efforts for those directly affected by the earthquakes in Türkiye and Syria. The Royal Mint also attended three events held by Islamic Relief in February 2023, donating a Kaaba gold bar at each event for auction. These auctions raised over £9,000 in additional donations for the relief fund.
With the Kaaba bars released ahead of Ramadan, which is considered one of the holiest months in the Islamic calendar, they are expected to make the perfect gift for many Muslims planning to give during Eid Fitr. The Kaaba gold bar is contained within Islamic-themed protective packaging, making it an exceptional gift for customers who want to give the precious gift of gold during Eid al-Fitr or use it as a secure investment with its 999.9g of fine gold containment.
The 20g minted gold bar depicting the Kaaba is now available for purchase at www.royalmint.com/eid. All bullion product transactions at The Royal Mint are Sharia-compliant.
